About

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) - Acupuncture

TCM acupuncture is an ancient technique that treats a wide variety of health concerns. The human body is capable of powerful healing, and this is the premise that guides acupuncture treatment. We place hair-thin, disposable, sterile needles into points based on your specific health goals and symptoms. Very simply, acupuncture works on physical, mental and emotional systems. Because of that, it brings your whole body into balance, and takes away any obstacles to healing.

Acupuncture is safe and effective during all phases of life, assisting patients with the development of their healthcare strategies. As modern medical research grows in support of the benefits of acupuncture, more doctors refer patients for treatment. In addition, acupuncture helps you achieve very real and deep healing without negative side effects.

The practice of acupuncture is more than two centuries old. It is a time-tested and effective method of healing that focuses on the body as a whole.

Prominent health organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) in the U.S. recognize the benefits of TCM (acupuncture and herbal medicine) and endorse its practice as a safe, effective form of medicine for many medical conditions. It is becoming more commonplace for patients to combine conventional medicine with alternative medicine to support their body’s own healing abilities while also addressing immediate symptom relief; truly holistic healthcare for whatever ails you!

I graduated with honours from the Advanced Acupuncture program at Georgian College. I am registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario.

Acupuncture is my second career, previously I worked within account management and sales at larger corporations but eventually felt that I was ready for a transition.

After having many beneficial experiences throughout my life with acupuncture I knew that it was a healthcare discipline that could improve the health and wellbeing of people, as it had for me.

We treat a variety of concerns such as:

We treat with a variety of modalities, which include single use filiform needles, tuina/ guasha, electro acupuncture as well as cupping.

Having lived in this community for the majority of my life I am very happy to now be able to assist the people within the community and extend my knowledge and aid in their healthcare and long term wellbeing.

I look forward to meeting you.
